Jennifer Keenan

Greetings, beautiful souls! My name is Jennifer Keenan. I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher with training in Gentle Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, and Yin Yoga. I am in the process of completing my 500 hour yoga teacher training and becoming a Master Reiki Practitioner as well. I also have a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. I love all things creative, and my classes almost always revolve around a centralized theme. To me, a successful yoga practice leaves one feeling as though they’ve gotten a “soul massage”. My goal is to provide you with the same experience—that you leave my classes feeling better physically, as well as more centered and at peace, and ready to tackle anything that should come your way! I’m looking forward to practicing with you!
Life is short.

Cat Brooks

Cat received her 200 hour registered yoga training from The Soul Of Yoga Institute in Encinitas, California, with a 50 hour focus in Gentle Yoga. She is currently starting her 500 hour RYT with The Soul, and will be focusing on Vinyasa yoga, Recovery yoga, and Bhakti yoga, among other areas.

Cat has been a lifelong athlete, with swimming, cycling and hiking being her big loves. After an early retirement in 2021, Cat embraced minimalism and van-life, traveling around the country for seven months with her two dogs, and hiking throughout the journey. She landed in beautiful Southern California, where she enjoys hiking and spending time in Nature, volunteering at animal rescues, live music and singing, and traveling in her campervan.

Her yoga journey began in 2013, when she attended her first yoga class, having the common misunderstanding that yoga was solely for flexibility and relaxation. With tears of joy in her eyes at the completion of that class, she realized that yoga is so much richer than she had imagined. She’s honored to be able to share that awakening with others, and to guide them toward loving their bodies in motion, their minds in stillness, and the sacred in us all.
While Cat has experience in many different types of yoga, the smooth flowing nature of Vinyasa yoga, and its ability to connect you with your body and breath, is her passion.

Claudia Yates

Claudia began her yoga practice in 1998 at Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Los Angeles to manage stress. An endurance athlete for most of her life sparked her interest to pursue a Doctorate Degree in Physical therapy. Theresa Timmes

Theresa started practicing yoga in 2000 to help manage acute back pain and found a way of life. Often said in yoga and true in her experience, ‘we come for one reason but end up staying for another’. She learnt to manage her pain and eventually learned to release it. The basis for her practice and what she teaches is the connection of movement to breath and the connection of heart to a higher source that invites the mind and body to stillness.

Teaching a Vinyasa flow, Hatha, Prenatal or a Gentle yoga class, Theresa’s passion lies in creating space within that allows for grounding in our physical bodies, an opening in our hearts and a calmer mind. Reducing the chatter in our minds, allows us to release stress.
Growing up playing sports, an adult active lifestyle became the norm. Yoga has helped nurse Theresa back to health after numerous surgeries from repetitive injuries. One of her core beliefs is that we come to our mats in the mental, physical and spiritual state that we are in and when we choose the yoga that best fits our needs at that moment, be it dynamic or gentle, we are practicing self-love and compassion. Come to your mat as you are!

Having completed her Yoga Teacher Training, Prenatal, Restorative and Gentle Teacher training at the Soul of Yoga, she has additionally completed a Teaching Pranayama modality, and is a Reiki Level 2 practitioner.

Alex Turner

Alex Turner is a dedicated and passionate RYT-200 certified yoga instructor with 15 years of experience in the practice. Specializing in Vinyasa and Hatha yoga, Alex places a strong emphasis on spiritual connection with the divine nature within. His classes provide a nurturing space for individuals to reflect; promoting a sense of unity through breath, movement, and body awareness.

Alex’s teaching philosophy centers around the belief that by connecting movement, breath, and intention, we engage in a profound yoga practice that aligns our emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. He draws influence and wisdom from several spiritual traditions including the Yoga Sutras,  the Bhagavad Gita, the Buddhist Sutras, and the Christian Scriptures, bringing a broad perspective on love and devotion to the practice.

Transitioning from a career in the tech industry, Alex discovered the transformative power of yoga 15 years ago. This profound connection to the practice led him to deepen his journey and ultimately become a certified yoga teacher. For Alex, the practice of yoga is both mystical and magical—an hour dedicated to inward reflection through physical practice, to honor and nurture the self-  body, mind, and spirit on the mat coming together.

Join Alex on the mat to experience the joy of movement and breath, and to cultivate balance, harmony, and happiness in your life.
